David Schulze paints landscapes en plein air and in his studio using an alla prima technique.  His inspiration comes from experiencing the landscape firsthand and listening to what it is expressing.  These experiences and messages are captured using paint applied with lively brush strokes in shapes and colors that communicate David’s personal experience to the viewer.  Frequent subjects come from David’s observations of nature during his travel in New Mexico and Texas.
