Y.A.M.

Yoga - Art - Music

Yoga Art Music (YAM) is a creative community space in the heart of Lake Highlands where movement, art and music come together under one roof. Our rotating gallery showcases local and regional artists while our studio and performance space create opportunities to gather, experience and connect. As a proud sponsor and official stop on the Lake Highlands Art Tour, we’re excited to fill The Gallery at YAM with even more original art—and the people who make it.

My work is the sum expression of many years enjoying White Rock Lake Park on a daily basis. Today I offer up my very best images to you as art pieces from my eye to camera and through my lens. My work can be enjoyed among many mediums that include canvas, metal, acrylic prints and traditional matte with frames to fit a wide variety of tastes to satisfy.

I’ve been an artist all my life. I worked in Graphic design for years which somehow led me to printmaking as a primary art medium. The prints are originals created from a plate or combination of plates made by me.

Clara Johnson

@artbyclarajohnson

Clara Johnson is an artist whose work moves freely from realism to abstraction, always with intention of moving the viewer and inviting them into her world. Through bold color, texture, and movement she creates emotionally charged works that spark curiosity and conversation. Mystery is at the heart of Johnson's paintings. Rather than telling a complete story, she leaves space for the viewer to interpret, imagine, and finish the story for themselves. For Johnson, art is ultimately about connection-the moment when a painting becomes personal and the viewer finds a piece of themselves within it.

Daniel Tennyson

I work with reclaimed wood and scrap paper, practicing bricolage. My catchphrase is that I'm 'cursed with a creative mind' - I can look at a pile of scraps, perhaps firewood, and conceive a piece of art or furniture. It stems from my desire to recycle, and to not waste. My pieces are abstract, often with a complex mix of colors and texture. My work inspires viewers to consider possibilities, emotions and desires. Some have found my art to support meditation. Viewers see different meanings in my works; I say that I make Rorschach tests.

My paintings are bold and rich with color, contrast and texture. I have a wide range of abstract and representational work. I’m a native Fort Worthian, architect and artist. My Texas roots can be found in all of my paintings. Im inspired by beaches, oil rigs, crows, live stock and drive in theaters. These sources keep me busy!

I believe creative energy pours from within when we can’t find words for overwhelming emotions. This force is light, genuine, and to me, uncontainable. Over the past year, my soul has called me to bear witness to the world around us. I make these moments visible through color and beauty, offering lasting messages of hope. Success isn’t about accolades or recognition; it’s about the profound connection that occurs when someone chooses to welcome my work into their home.

Jennifer Christy Art is a celebration of bold color, dynamic textures, and playful, modern design. My paintings come to life with vibrant hues, whimsical shapes, and expressive details, while my handcrafted jewelry reflects a fusion of contemporary artistry and the chic energy of 1960s mod fashion. Every piece is thoughtfully designed and meticulously handmade in my Dallas, Texas studio.

Nature is both my greatest inspiration and my constant teacher. Every landscape, changing season, quiet woodland, and open sky offers a story of light, color, and atmosphere waiting to be translated onto canvas. Working primarily in oils my landscapes are an invitation to pause—to experience the stillness of a misty morning, the warmth of afternoon light, or the quiet rhythm found in untouched places. I seek to create paintings that evoke memories, spark imagination, and celebrate the enduring connection between people and nature.Each painting reflects my belief that art has the power to connect us with nature, awaken our senses, and remind us of the extraordinary beauty found in everyday moments.
